Luxembourg

July 2026

Staying in the northern part of Luxembourg made for a great home base for attending the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. We had plenty of time to relax and explore while only being about 45 minutes from the race.

Accommodations:

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Château d’Urspelt. It was in a central location to explore Luxembourg while also being close to the Belgian border. The amenities are great, with a spa, outdoor pool, restaurants and bars, and a lot to explore on the grounds.

Tours and Activities:

  • The Nuxe Spa at the hotel was the best way to recover from jet lag. We took advantage of the two half-day package and spent our first afternoon and following morning relaxing in the saunas, whirlpools, cave pool, and salt room.
  • We spent a full day exploring Luxembourg City, wandering along the rivers, climbing the city’s hills, and popping into a few museums along the way.
  • On the way back, we stopped through the quaint town of Clervaux to walk around Clervaux Castle and enjoyed a tapas dinner at Dos Gringos.
