Portland, Maine was a great spot for a quick winter getaway. We loved exploring downtown (even in the single digit temperatures) and going skiing nearby.

Accommodations: We stayed at the AC Marriott downtown, which was a great location to walk to all the restaurants and breweries.

Tours and Activities: It was a quick trip, but will still fit a lot in during our long weekend in Portland. We had a really great lunch and drinks at Bissell Brothers Brewery, followed by a stroll through the International Cryptozoology Museum. The next day, we braved the frigid temps to get Holy Donuts (delicious donuts made from potatoes) and explore the Portland Head Lighthouse, LL Bean headquarters, and Allagash Brewing. Our final day we spent skiing and snowboarding at Pleasant Mountain Ski Resort.
