For Dave’s 35th birthday, we traveled to Austin Texas to see one of his best friends, play golf, and have a little r&r.

Accommodations: We stayed in downtown Austin for two nights at the Fairmont, and then spent two nights at the Omni Barton Creek outside the city.

Activities: On our first night, Justin showed us around Austin, and we hopped around to various bars and restaurants. After a birthday breakfast at Le Cafe Crepe, Dave and Justin golfed at Barton Creek, and I spent the day lounging at the Fairmont rooftop pool. We all reconvened for an excellent dinner at Red Ash, followed by a pedicab ride back to the hotel. Our last two days, we made the most of the Omni resort amenities, having a spa day, play putt putt, and accidentally running into Chris Harrison (disgraced Bachelor host) multiple times.
